Discussion About the Monarchy at Radio

Author: Zakhariev Andrey | 26.06.2011 20:36

Discussion about future form of the Russian government took place at The Komsomolskaya Pravda Radio on 15 June 2011.

A leader of non-registered party The Great Russia, a member of the Russian Imperial Union-Order Dr Andrei Savelev and a member of the political council of a liberal party The Right Business Boris Nadezhdin became participants of the discussion at The Komsomolskaya Pravda Radio. The programme was broadcasted live.

Dr Savelev emphasized that the monarchy is the best political system for Russia. The only legitimate heir to the Russian Throne is Grand Duchess Maria Vladimirovna and then Her Son Grand Duke Georgiy Mikhaylovich. Mr Nadezhdin opposed that the Grand Duchess isn’t well-known among the people, but Dr Savelev parried, that it is not important. The main thing is that the monarchy is based on the law of succession and in accordance with these laws nobody else can claim to the Throne (including well-known Mr Putin and Mr Medvedev, about whom Mr Nadezhdin said).

The monarchy can combine different institutions to the best fulfilment of the state obligations. The monarchy granted the parliament to the people in 1905. It means that the monarchy and the guarantees of the people’s rights and liberties don’t contradict each other, Dr Savelev emphasized.
